Northern New Mexico’s Rio Grande Gorge. Escape with our unguided float. The above image shows an early-season father/son duo taking advantage of our Funyak Rentals. The rental trip goes from Taos Junction Bridge to the Quartzite site on our Monument Float section in the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument. Scheduled departure times are 10 AM and 2 PM at the Quartzite River Access point.

This full-day trip rafts the entire length of the Orilla Verde section of the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument. Along the way, you may see various songbirds, geese, ducks, beavers, muskrats, bighorn sheep, and even otters!

Our New Wave No Wave trip is perfect for the entire family, ages 4 and up. This trip departs from the Quartzite river access at 10:30, and then you are shuttled upstream to the launch point. With an easy Class 2 rapid, this trip is for the elderly, timid family members, or non-swimmers.

The Rio Grande Gorge trip starts in a gentle section (Class 2, “easy”), making for a relaxing morning “float.” It then finishes on the Racecourse (Class 3, “moderate”), ending your day with a splash! This adventure is perfect for families with children aged six and up.
