Getting Outside Is Looking Safer During This Trying Time
When the New Mexico shutdown started over two months ago, going outside seemed like a scary place. You had the risk of getting infected when you went outdoors by your neighbor, the gas pump, a door knob or any number of things. You were told #StayHome. As more research concerning the virus comes to light getting outdoors is looking safer. Recent studies have shown that only a very small percentage of cases have come from being out in Mother Nature. With fresh air and more space between people, the risk goes down.
Putting research aside, getting out of the house helps ward off the “stir-crazy” syndrome. When you do wear a facial covering, be aware and cautious when around others and the surfaces you touch. Experts are arguing that it’s time to think about how to move more activities outdoors — including socializing, eating, shopping, attending school and holding work meetings.
Here at New Wave, we are adhering to New Mexico’s mandates regarding health protocols. We are seeking ways to support our loyal customers who desire a day with Mother Nature. Our inflatable kayak rental program provides the least amount of social interaction. Check out our previous blog Funyaks for All for more details.
