Kathy Miller



Kathy Miller, with her husband Steve, founded New Wave Rafting Co. in 1980.  Her outdoor activities have included mountaineering, rock climbing, kayaking, fly fishing, scuba diving, skiing and, of course, rafting. She has conducted Outward Bound courses in New Mexico, and is a Level 3 Certified Ski Instructor. She is also the mother of two children and a grandparent of five.

 





Steve Miller, with his wife Kathy, founded New Wave Rafting Co. in 1980. His outdoor interests parallel those of his wife Kathy. He has been an  instructor in Outward Bound schools in Colorado, California, Oregon, Washington and New Mexico, and he is a Level  3 Certified Ski Instructor. He is a graduate of Harvard University, and a published author/photographer. See the Home Page for his book of photography on running the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon: "The Grand".

Britt Huggins




Britt Huggins
is New Wave's Operations Manager and has been guiding New Wave trips since the 80's. His outdoor interests include nature photography, rock climbing,  kayaking, fly fishing and scuba diving. In 2009 he became a PADI  Dive Instructor. He is also a talented classical guitar player, and was recently appointed New Wave's official photographer.
 
 
 
 

Neil Oberheide




Neil Oberheide has been guiding for New Wave since the 90's. His outdoor interests include surfing, snowboarding, skiing, fly fishing and kayaking. In the winter he runs a snow cat, grooming ski slopes at night. His most recent adventure was commercial shrimping off the California coast.

 

Ron Whitney




Ron Whitney has been guiding for New Wave since the year 2000.  His outdoor interests include skiing, snowboarding and salt water fishing. In the winter he runs the parking crew at Ski Santa Fe.


CJ McCue



CJ Robison attended our Guide Training Program in 2005 and has been guiding for New Wave since. Her interests include rock climbing, botany, scuba diving, hiking, organic gardening, baking bread and cooking.







Orlando Torres attended our Guide Training Program in 2008 and has been guiding for New Wave since. He lives in Pilar, on the banks of the Rio Grande, and teaches snowboarding at Taos Ski Valley in the winter.He is a free spirit, world traveler and creates amazing jewelry.





Ryan Swafford attended our Guide Training Program in 2008 and has guided for New Wave since. In 2009 he earned a degree in drafting.

Jesse Mogler attended our Guide Training Program in 2009, and quickly graduated to Box guide in 2010, where he got rave  reviews on his very first commercial Box trip.
